Bicol Express from Tutuban going to Naga

Finally! The famed Bicol Express of the Philippine National Railways has been officially brought back to life today, June 29. 2011, and it will now take its usual trips from Tutuban going to Naga City in Camarines Sur. The Bicol Express, according to reports, has the following train configuration: DEL 918 + Sleeper + Double Deck Sleeper + Prototype NR-01 + Dining Car + Sleeper + Sleeper.

Train Fares:
Sleeper Berth — PHP 950
Reclining Seats cost — PHP 548

For more information and seat reservation please call PNR Operations at 319-0041 local 122

I have always wanted to go visit the Bicol region ever but whenever I would pack my bag for a solo backpacking trip to the province, something, such as the tsunami alerts earlier this year, would always come and prevent me from leaving. On my next return back to the Philippines, I will definitely pay at least a week-long visit to the Bicol region.
