Red Sea

In Biblical times, Moses split the Red Sea into halves. Thousands of years later, Pinoys imbented daing.

Unlike the Yellow River or Puerto Azul, the name of the place doesn’t imply the color of its water lest swimming there would be the closest metaphor for a bloodbath. The color of the water is blue and turns aquamarine as you go farther into the deep. And no, Moses did not turn its waters into blood, that would be the Nile River in Egypt. In Biblical times though, Moses split this sea to help the Israelites escape from the pursuing Egyptians. But before my blog go biblical with all these narratives, here’s a few more Red Sea photos my camphone and I managed to snatch.

Anyway, we were only able to swim at the Red Sea for about an hour because the sun has already shone when we finally found a place where the coast guards won’t drive us away. And please understand that this isn’t what the entire Red Sea looked like, it’s just the better spots have been placed with something like a “DO NOT SWIM HERE, IDOTS!” sign.
